Extractors

Functions in the Extractors category of the Studio fx menu pull structured values out of free text and messages.

Start with the extractors you use most often:

• Extract URLs — list URLs found in the input.
• Extract IP addresses — find IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.
• Extract domains — list fully qualified domain names.
• Extract dates — find common date patterns.
• Regular expression — define your own pattern to search the input.

Also useful:

• Extract MAC addresses / Extract file paths — hardware IDs and path-like strings.
• Slice — cut a substring by index.
• JPath expression — query a JSON object (prefer JSON Path for the newer Data format function when available).
