Users can now select and personalize their 3rd party services in this new screen, available from their profile or from the Add step menu. No more heavy menu with tons of items! New vendors are also available. We will continue to improve this feature to make integration of 3rd parties as seamless and simple as possible.

Major new feature: an amazing set of advanced functions is now available. It allows playbook to heavily manipulate data such as encoding, decoding, processing, computing.

A new step type is introduced to handle data processing.

This step allows the user to compute new data in the form of name-value pairs, also known as local variables. Those variables can be used in subsequent steps during the flow.

For example, data encoded in formats such as base64 can be decoded in a variable used in service requiring the decoded value.

Condition step can have a fallback setting - also known as default / else / otherwise: continue execution or stop execution

New step settings are available on every service steps for advanced error handling:

  • Timeout: for ex, when a service operation engaged in a playbook step do not respond, it is now possible to configure the duration (1-30 seconds) a playbook waits before raising a failure
  • Resume timeout: you can configure the appropriate duration to wait for during a resumable service step (ex: user’s approval on Slack) - i.e. when using Resume webhook URL or execution id data pills.
  • On failure: you can now set what to do when a service operation fails i.e. continue or stop execution

  • They were temporarily disabled while switching to a new optimized in-house flowchart library.

Better user experience on For each and Condition

Section titled “Better user experience on For each and Condition”
  • Condition sequence and its ordering are better displayed.
  • Selected condition remains when a branch option is removed.
  • For each step default width and settings have been enhanced.
  • This is required for custom authentication schema on some 3rd parties like Xmco.
  • Width of steps and title length have been increased (no more “title is too long” unless it’s really way too long :-).
  • Credentials and constants are now sorted alphabetically in Vault panel as well as in Data picker menu.
  • Data pills are meaningful, indicating the source step.
  • Deployment error messages are enhanced.
  • Double clicking on an empty area of a step now opens the Inspector.
  • Double clicking on the canvas now closes the Inspector

A lot of bugfixes and regression have been addressed on:

  • Zooming breaks links on Chrome: now fixed.
  • Step subtitles are incorrectly wrapped: wrapped again.
  • Handling query parameters.
  • For each handling of primitives array.
  • Unsupported or limited services like Microsoft Azure, Jira, and more.
  • Failure during step execution and playbook deployments.
  • A number of functions in the function catalog are still not operational. Feature is marked as beta in the web inteface. They will be fixed along the next releases.
  • A number of functions in the function catalog (alpha) are not operational. They will be fixed in next releases.
