# Incident report 20/10/2023

## Description

During the rollout of Vallauris release, we encountered a bug affecting certain playbooks using [ipinfo.io](http://ipinfo.io). This issue arose **when the ipinfo.io step has been created before Vallauris release**. It does not happen if creating a fresh ipinfo.io step.

This document shortly details the cause, the resolution, and the actions that will be undertaken. The Mindflow team apologizes for the inconvenience. We also thank our clients' teams for their support and understanding.

## Causes

- Upon receiving the report, the Mindflow team promptly replicated the issue and identified a regression in the [ipinfo.io](http://ipinfo.io) service definition. This anomaly stemmed from a rationalization of parameters. By fixing issues, it introduced a new issue for this service.

## Workaround

- Replacing the [ipinfo.io](http://ipinfo.io) step.

## Resolution

- The Mindflow engineering team has fixed the issue, solving the problem affecting some playbooks by restoring the proper processing of connected variables.

## Follow-up

- The Mindflow development team will continue to enhance its sanity check tests.
