# Remove whitespace

Optionally removes all spaces, carriage returns, line feeds, tabs and form feeds from the input data. This operation also supports the removal of full stops which are sometimes used to represent non-printable bytes in ASCII output. Remove whitespace lives in the **Utils** category of the `fx` menu.

Run Remove whitespace

Optionally removes all spaces, carriage returns, line feeds, tabs and form feeds from the input data. Adjust optional parameters when the defaults do not match your payload.

1. Set **Input** to the value to transform (previous step output or a literal).

2. Review **Spaces**, **Carriage returns (\r)**, **Line feeds (\n)**, **Tabs**, **Form feeds (\f)**, and other options and keep defaults unless your format requires otherwise.

3. Confirm **Output value** shows the transformed result.
