# Find / Replace

Replaces all occurrences of the first string with the second. Includes support for regular expressions (regex), simple strings and extended strings (which support \n, \r, \t, \b, \f and escaped hex bytes using \x notation, e.g. \x00 for a null byte). Find / Replace lives in the **Utils** category of the `fx` menu.

<details>
<summary>Run Find / Replace</summary>

Replaces all occurrences of the first string with the second. Adjust optional parameters when the defaults do not match your payload.

1. Set **Input** to the value to transform (previous step output or a literal).

2. Review **Find**, **Replace**, **Global match**, **Case insensitive**, **Multiline matching**, and other options and keep defaults unless your format requires otherwise.

3. Confirm **Output value** shows the transformed result.
