# From Punycode

Punycode is a way to represent Unicode with the limited character subset of ASCII supported by the Domain Name System. For example, `mnchen-3ya` decodes to `münchen`. From Punycode lives in the **Data format** category of the `fx` menu. See [Punycode](https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc3492) for format details.

Run From Punycode

Punycode is a way to represent Unicode with the limited character subset of ASCII supported by the Domain Name System. Adjust optional parameters when the defaults do not match your payload.

1. Set **Input** to the value to transform (previous step output or a literal).

2. Review **Internationalised domain name** and keep defaults unless your format requires otherwise.

3. Confirm **Output value** shows the transformed result.
