# From Hexdump

Attempts to convert a hexdump back into raw data. This operation supports many different hexdump variations, but probably not all. Make sure you verify that the data it gives you is correct before continuing analysis. From Hexdump lives in the **Data format** category of the `fx` menu.

## Parameter

`Input` is the primary value (previous step output or a literal).

## Returned value

## Limitations

- Invalid or mismatched encoding for the chosen options typically raises an evaluation error — fix the Input or options before re-running.
