# Array

Functions in the **Array** category of the Studio `fx` menu build and reshape JSON arrays as data moves through a
flow.

Start with the operations you use most often:

- [Array concat](./array-concat/) — merge two arrays into one.
- [Array length](./array-length/) — count elements.
- [Array get item](./array-get-item/) — read the value at an index.
- [Array join](./array-join/) — turn an array into a delimited string.
- [Array split](./array-split/) — split a string into an array.

Common reshape helpers:

- [Array slice](./array-slice/) / [Array flat](./array-flat/) — take a portion or flatten nested arrays.
- [Array sort](./array-sort/) / [Array unique](./array-unique/) — order and deduplicate.
- [Array push](./array-push/) / [Array pop](./array-pop/) — add or remove the last element.
- [Array range](./array-range/) — generate a numeric sequence.

Open a function page from the sidebar for parameters, returned values, and examples. The transform functions overview
also summarizes this category.
